Music Events In Bangkok February – April 2017

Bangkok is the buzzing capital of southeast Asia and any day of the week you will find things to do and major events taking place. Obviously, you can visit the many tourist attractions such as the Grand Palace or the Reclining Buddha, go shopping in the many of the modern malls, peruse handmade items from local markets, sample Bangkok’s amazing street food or just soak up the local the local culture and atmosphere.

Bangkok is also a major destination for major touring bands who wish to include an Asian gig in their itinerary. The first quarter of 2017 is no exception and here are some of the stars lined up coming to play.

Goo Goo Dolls

13th Feb - Central Plaza Lardprao

The Goo Goo Dolls will be performing in Thailand for the first time in their career with their “Boxes” tour. As well as focusing on their 2016 album they will also be playing their past hits, including; Iris, Name, Naked, Slide, Black Balloon, Dizzy, and Broadway.

The Goo Goo Dolls have had 19 top ten singles on varying charts and have sold more than 12 million albums worldwide.

Guns N’Roses

28th Feb - SCG Stadium

Guns N’Roses reunion lineup features core members Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan alongside guitarist Richard Fortus, drummer Frank Ferrer and keyboardist Melissa Reese.

The Not in This Lifetime tour is extensive with gigs in Europe, America, Australia, and Asia and the reunion has been bringing fans out in their thousands. According to Billboard Magazine, the North American leg of the tour grossed nearly $120 million, with over one million tickets sold.

This is the first time the three original members of the band have performed together since their Use Your Illusion Tour in 1993. The band will be featuring songs from their extensive back catalog including Sweet Child O’Mine, Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door, Paradise City, November Rain, It’s So Easy, Don’t Cry and You Could Be Mine.


7th April - Rajamangala Stadium

World famous British rock band, Coldplay, has announced a performance date at Bangkok’s Rajamangala National Stadium as part of the “A Head Full Of Dreams Tour.”
Coldplay has sold more than 80 million albums worldwide and achieved many awards including; Brit awards, MTV Video Music Awards, World Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and seven Grammy Awards.

The A Head Full Of Dreams tour is Coldplay’s 7th world tour to promote their latest studio album. This tour is back to large-scale venues with an extensive laser light show and pyrotechnics.

The band includes huge hits as well as new album tracks; Paradise, Fix You, Midnight, In My Place, Yellow, The Scientist and more.
